Who is the retreat for?

This retreat is created for women in perimenopause, menopause, and midlife who are ready to prioritize themselves, embrace change, and reclaim their health, identity, and joy. Whether you're seeking clarity, rest, community, or renewal—this space is for you.

Where is the retreat held?

Our retreat home is the Imiloa Institute, a stunning jungle sanctuary located in Savegre de Aguirre, Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica. Surrounded by nature, this world-renowned wellness center offers high-end accommodations, holistic design, and a peaceful setting to support deep restoration and transformation.

How do I get there?

You’ll fly into San José International Airport (SJO) in Costa Rica. Complimentary group transportation between the airport and Imiloa Institute is included for arrivals on September 3 and departures on September 8. Please plan your flights accordingly to take advantage of this service—detailed travel guidelines will be provided upon registration.

What is the transportation from SJO to Imiloa?

As part of your retreat package at Imiloa, a private charter flight is arranged exclusively for our group. This is already included in your stay—no extra booking is needed.
If you’re flying in on the same day the retreat begins (September 3rd), your international flight must arrive at San José International Airport (SJO) before 7:00 AM. If that’s not possible, we highly recommend arriving the day before and spending the night in San José (see recommended hotel options below).
On departure day (September 8th), please schedule your return flight after 1:00 PM to allow time for travel from the retreat center.
Be sure to arrive at the SJO Domestic Terminal by 8:45 AM on arrival day for check-in. Our group’s private flight to Imiloa will depart at 9:15 AM local time.

If I need to arrive the day before, what are some hotel options for me?
AC Hotel San Jose Airport Belen
Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, free shuttle service and a 24-hour front desk, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Guests at the hotel can enjoy a buffet breakfast. SJO Airport is 3.7 miles from the property.

Located 25-30 mins from SJO airport, walking distance to the La Sabana park, National Stadium, and nearby restaurants. This hotel is a good choice if you would like to explore a bit of San Jose and city surroundings, just be mindful of travel time and transportation options to/from SJO airport. (Please note there is also a Hilton La Sabana)
Marriott Hotel Hacienda Belen
An upscale Marriott hotel, located approximately 10 min from SJO airport. We recommend this hotel if you prefer to have a nice property experience and want to be close to the airport.
Hampton Inn Airport Hotel
For a more economical option you may stay at the Hampton Inn located right across the street from the airport. They have a free shuttle between the airport and the hotel included in your stay.

Hotel Alta Las Palomas is located 30-40 mins from SJO airport in Santa Ana. It is a beautiful and contemporary hotel with quality service, accommodations, food and transportation all included in your stay.

Yes, Wi-Fi is available at the retreat center. However, we encourage you to unplug as much as possible and allow yourself the rare opportunity to fully be present—with yourself, with nature, and with this sisterhood.

How many women will be attending?

We’re keeping this experience intimate and intentional, with 15–20 women total. This smaller group allows for deeper connection, individual attention, and a supportive circle where every voice is heard.

What are the accommodations like?

You’ll choose between private and shared accommodations. Each space at Imiloa is uniquely designed, eco-luxurious, and nestled within the Costa Rican jungle. Think peaceful, elegant, and grounding—everything you need to reset and recharge.

What is your cancellation policy?

Your deposit is non-refundable. However, your spot can be transferred to another eligible participant if needed. We highly recommend getting "Cancel For No Reason" travel Insurance if you think you may have a conflict. Here is a travel insurance option for you.

Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?

Yes. Imiloa’s chef-prepared meals are plant-forward, gluten-free, and designed to nourish mind and body. If you have allergies or specific needs, please let us know in advance—we’ll ensure you're fully supported.

What’s the weather like in September at Imiloa?

Imiloa Institute sits about 800 feet above sea level, giving us a comfortable tropical climate that’s a little cooler than the beach and usually has fewer bugs. In September, you can expect warm days averaging 85°F (29°C) and cooler evenings around 65–75°F (18–24°C)—perfect for early morning yoga and cozy evenings under the stars. While September falls within Costa Rica’s green (or rainy) season, showers are typically brief and often happen in the late afternoon or overnight, leaving plenty of sunshine for daily activities.
